- RGIII looked good. He seemed to be throwing the ball down the field much more and had a great throw to Garçon along the sideline showing nice touch. He completed 15 of 17 passes and while he had plenty of dump offs and check downs he still threw the ball well when he went deeper. Tomorrow is the first day he should receive work during 11 on 11's.
- My favorite two plays were both on the defensive side of the ball. E. J. Biggers had an impressive interception against Grossman. He jumped over Hankerson's shoulder and grabbed the ball before it could hit the ground. The other play was by Darryl Tapp who blew up a play that could have been a run or a play action. Grossman went back to either hand the ball off or fake it but Tapp got there before he could. Grossman hesitated and in a real game would have been hit and the play could have easily have been a loss if not a fumble. Instead Grossman threw a touchdown.
- Meriweather looked good and practiced quite a bit. He should really help out the run defense that struggled against the Titans at times.
- Kirk Cousins was poised and confident the whole day. Like many people have been saying he would at least be in contention to start or at least compete to start on a lot of other teams. Even still I think the Skins should keep Cousins around for this season and next.
- Phillip Thomas did not practice because of a foot injury he sustained during the Titans game and John Keim reports he will see Dr. Robert Anderson today.
- Bacarri Rambo looked pretty good. I still worry about his speed in game situations but he seems to have learned from the first preseason game and took better angles when looking to help against the run.
- Overall things look good for the Redskins. RGIII is getting healthier and while the Redskins are still hurting at some spots because of injury and suspensions key starters like Orakpo and Meriweather coming back bodes well for the defense.
