RGIII's Health

At this point the Redskins have been extremely careful when dealing with Robert Griffin III and his injury. It has been clear that Griffin thinks he is ready for more than the coaches do and he has made it
known to everyone who is willing to listen. The question is who in this is right?

The simple answer is probably both. I am not a doctor and I have no inside information into RGIII's injury but from what I can see it seems as though he is at or very near 100%. The reality is that RGIII probably could have played in last nights game and been perfectly fine even if hit. However, the reasons that I believe the Redskins are holding him back are simple, why risk it? Why not give a franchise quarterback more time to make sure he is completely healthy for games that actually matter rather than play him in meaningless preseason games. It really comes down to good business practice. You have invested a lot into Griffin and you don't want to waist his potential by ruining his career. So, while RGIII will continue trying to show everyone that he is ready by running around and suiting up in full pads for preseason games despite the fact he isn't playing, the Redskins heads will continue to hold him back and wait until they are as sure as they possibly can be that he is fully healed and ready to go.
