Redskins Game by Game Prediction: Weeks 1-3

Week 1 vs Eagles

This game is a bit of an unknown at this point. For now it seems Robert Griffin III will be ready well before the game but it is still too early to tell for sure. So from the Redskins side of things the biggest question mark is quarterback. For the Eagles Chip Kelly is installing a completely new defense and offense with a lot of new personel on the defensive side. He has yet to commit to a quarterback and even though Vick is the most likely to start the season it is still an unknown. I don't know what to expect from the Eagles but because they will be a completely knew team with a completely knew coach I think they will struggle in their first game together specifically on defense. As the Redskins know switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4 is not normally a quick painless process.

Prediction: Redskins 31, Eagles 10

Week 2 at Packers

Aaron Rodgers is possibly the best quarterback in the game right now and the packers offense is going to put up points. Rodgers has plenty of weapons and even if the Redskins defense takes a step forward it will be tough to slow him down especially with the addition of rookie running backs Eddie Lacy and Jonathan Franklin. The Redskins should be able to put up some points and actually had a higher ranked offense last season but the packers defense is the better one at this point. I don't see the Redskins being able to outscore the Packers in Green Bay.

Prediction: Redskins 27, Green Bay 38

Week 3 vs Lions

The Lions are an interesting team seeing as they put up a lot of yards but not as many points while the reverse was true for their defense. This is most likely because they had a minus 16 turnover ratio. Conversely, the Redskins were stingy and had a plus 17 turnover ratio. If the Lions continue to turn the ball over I believe an improved Redskins defense will be able to take advantage and force a few. Redskins should be able to win this one at home.

Prediction: Redskins 38, Lions 24
