Redskins Game by Game Prediction: Weeks 9-11

Week 9 vs Chargers

Philip Rivers

The Chargers struggled last year as did quarterback Philip Rivers. Not long ago I would have argued that Rivers was one of the better quarterbacks in the league but the absence of Vincent Jackson. While the team should be better than last year with the additions of rookies Fluker and Te'o however, they still lack a great receiving core for Rivers to throw to. While the Chargers will be coming off a bye week I'm not convinced they will be improved enough from last year to beat the Redskins at Fedex Field.

Prediction: Redskins 31, Chargers 14

Week 10 at Vikings

RGIII Rushing TD vs Vikings

Adrian Peterson is without a doubt the best back in the NFL if not the best player. He carried the Vikings to the playoffs and will look to do it again this season. Not to mention the Vikings had one of the best drafts this year drafting 3 1st round picks. With the addition of the three rookies the defense and receiving core should improve. Greg Jennings was also a strong addition even though he is past his prime he should still be able to make a solid contribution. Christian Ponder on the other hand has been less than brilliant so far in his NFL career. I do not really expect him to make much improvement this year either. The Vikings will be at home but because this is a quarterback driven league I think Griffin will pull out the win in a close and physical game.

Prediction: Redskins 21, Vikings 17

Week 11 at Eagles

At this point in the season the Eagles will be less of an unknown and because of this I reserve the right to change my mind about this game. However, because so little is known about the Eagles at this point I will have to make a few assumptions. I believe Chip Kelly is a great college coach and has the ability to be a good NFL coach, however, the Eagles are not the 49ers and a coaching change is not going to mean an immediate turnaround. For this reason I can't see the Redskins losing this game late in the season with playoffs on the mind.

Prediction: Redskins 28, Eagles 21
