Redskins Game by Game Prediction: Weeks 12-14

Week 12 vs 49ers
Colin Kaepernick

The 49ers are one of the hotter teams in the NFL. They made it to the superbowl with a first year starter at quarterback and a suffocating defense. Already the 9ers are one of the favorites to make the superbowl again. Kaepernick should be improved this year and the addition of Anquan Boldin will only help him. Because Kaepernick and Griffin are similar types of quarterbacks both defenses will be prepared for the read option. However, if there is one upset game that I can see the Redskins winning it is this one. The Redskins will be at home and despite the love San Francisco they are far from unbeatable. The Rams tied and beat the 9ers in their two games last season and Seattle (a team the Redskins where beating until RGII got hurt) demolished them 42 to 13 in week 16. It will be a Monday night game versus a caliber of team that the Redskins must be able to beat if they want to be considered among the best. While my gut wants me to pick the Redskins in this game I can't do it.

Prediction: Redskins 14, 49ers 24

Week 13 vs Giants

Eli Manning and RGIII
The Giants will be coming off a home game against the Cowboys and the Redskins will be coming off a Monday night game so it should be a tough battle for both teams. Eli Manning is an inconsistent quarterback who the Redskins have played really well against for the past three years. In the last 6 games against the Redskins Manning has thrown only 3 touchdowns to 8 interceptions. Jim Haslett clearly had a good game plan for Manning and I dont see much reason to think it will be any different this time around. Griffin should be able to get the victory at home.

Prediction: Redskins 27, Giants 23

Week 14 vs Chiefs
Andy Reid

This will be an interesting game because Andy Reid knows the Redskins well from his time with the Eagles. The Chiefs are also a team that has a lot of talent on both sides of the ball but were not able to turn that into wins. Andy Reid should makes this team improve immediately, but I'm curious to see if he can turn away from throwing the ball every play and lean on Jamal Charles. I don't really know what to expect from this Chiefs team but I haven't seen enough to believe they can beat the Redskins in Landover.

Prediction: Redskins 28, Chiefs 21
